Diddy and Ciroc news for new years

Diddy is always looking for a way to promote his Ciroc Vodka brand, especially for New Year's Eve, but he wants to make sure you do it responsibly.

Diddy and Ciroc will be teaming up with New York City's Department of Transportation (DOT) for the third consecutive year to distribute 2,000 pre-paid debit cards at high traffic locations in NYC, each good for up to $25 worth of transportation in the city's taxicabs, participating car services, MTA subway booths, PATH trains and NJ transit through January 1, 2011 11:59PM.

New this year, Diddy is extending the distribution of its "taxi cards" to the outer boroughs, and has increased the value of the debit cards to $25, to reflect the average cost of an inter-borough taxi ride.

"As the 'Official Vodka of New Year's Eve,' Ciroc has made a huge impact over the last two years by helping New York get home safely, so I'm proud to announce that we're bringing the program back in an even bigger way," said Diddy of the yearly partnership.

"New York is the world's most iconic holiday destination, so I'm excited to lead by example to demonstrate that a smooth, sophisticated holiday season doesn't end when the ball drops, but when everyone gets home safely."

The taxi cards will be distributed through New York City on December 11, 17 and 31.
