Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the necklace in question is currently being held as evidence by the LAPD. We're told the police could hold on to it all the way until the case goes to trial (if that happens) or they could just take a photo and return the necklace to the owner. So far, no decision has been made.

As we first reported, Lindsay will be charged as early as Monday for allegedly swiping the $2,500 necklace from a Venice, CA jewelry store.

Little progress was made at the end of the second day of discussions between Egyptian Vice-President Omar Suleiman and various opposition groups on Sunday. The opposition is split on the way forward and thousands of defiant protesters continued to throng the capital’s Tahrir (Liberation) Square for

the 13th day, demanding that President Hosni Mubarak must quit.

The Muslim Brotherhood, the social and political group that enjoys popular support across the country, met Suleiman for the second time on Sunday but said later that they didn’t trust the government to carry out the promised reforms. There has been no official word from Suleiman, who is carrying out the negotiations.

Some people close to the negotiations said what was certain was that Egypt would have a new constitution. What’s not certain yet is whether the current Parliament, an unprecedented 97% of whose seats are controlled by Mubarak’s National Democratic Party, will be dissolved before the constitutional reform.

Busy consultations are on with the various committees and councils that have been formed to tide over the crisis. Laila Takla, a former independent MP and head of the House’s foreign relations committee, told HT: “Suleiman is likely to declare on Monday the appointment of a council of 25 experts to draft a new constitution. And there should also be a referendum on it later.”

Tarek Heggy, an influential liberal writer who met with the Committee of Wise Men and the Mohammed ElBaradei-led Committee of 10 on Sunday, said, “Constitutional expert Kamal About Al Magag has indicated it’ll take less than two weeks to draft a new constitution. But it’s not clear whether Parliament would be dissolved too.”

Meanwhile, at Tahrir Square Sunday’s M-Day (Martyr’s Day, in honour of the 300 who have died in the protests) turned out to be as big as Friday’s D-Day. Sending out a strong secular message, the people who poured in held two prayer meets for the country’s Coptic Christians too.

"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" star Shia LaBeouf was briefly handcuffed and released in the wee hours of Saturday morning after an alleged bar fight, UsMagazine.com has confirmed.
An eyewitness to the altercation at Mad Bull's Tavern in Sherman Oaks, Calif., tells Us the actor, 24, was taunted by a fellow patron inside the bar before being "sucker punched in the mouth" when their conversation was taken outside. A second eyewitness reports singer Ashlee Simpson was also at Mad Bull's Saturday, but her proximity to the fight is not known.
No charges were filed as a result of the dust-up, which dispersed when local LAPD officers who happened to be driving by the area saw the crowd.
Put in handcuffs while officers assessed the situation, LaBeouf was questioned and released shortly after 1 a.m.

"It was just boys being boys. Things got really out of hand and it didn't have to go down the way it did," Mad Bull's Tavern owner Richard DiSisto tells Us. "No one needed or should have gotten hurt, things could have been dealt with in an entirely different way."When reached for comment, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Taylor of the Van Nuys division confirms the patrons picking on LaBeouf "fled" before police arrived.
The actor's weekend incident — initially reported by HollyScoop.com — is not his first brush with the law. Though the charges were later dropped, LaBeouf was arrested in Hollywood on suspicion of drunk driving in July 2008.
