Kelly Rowland dropped from columbia????

Former Destiny's Child member, Kelly Rowland, was reportedly dropped from her record label, just two months after she severed ties with her longtime manager Matthew Knowles, father of Beyonce.

According to UK paper News of the World, Rowland was dropped by executives at Columbia Records, despite platinum success with her first two solo albums.

The paper reports that the singer was dropped because the label fears that she is "no longer commercially viable".

In late January, Rowland announced her departure from Matthew Knowles' Music World entertainment company, where she was managed. At the time of the announcement, both parties said the split was amicable.

"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship," said Knowles. "My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist Kelly has incredible talent and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and, as a dad, I only have love for Kelly."

Rowland's statement seemed to express similar feelings.

"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance -- both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects," the singer said. "Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."

At press time, attempts for statements from Columbia Records were not returned as of press time.

In other Kelly news, she's said to be working on new reality TV project, called The Fashion Show, which she'll co-host.
